Meditation
Meditation is a
practice in which an individual trains the mind to generate an emotional state
for the purpose of mental health and to sooth anger, hatred, stress etc. Meditation is one of the solutions for work
place stress which leads to life style diseases.
Benefits of Meditation:
- Meditation makes you work more productively by improving your short term memory and making your mind clear.
- Meditation calms your mind during turbulent moods and hormonal mood swings.
- Meditation lowers blood pressure and removes depression, anger, anxiety and develops a healthy mind.
- Meditation gives a state of physical well-being by boosting your immune system.
- Meditation works as a pain killer and soothes acute and chronic pain.

- Sit in a comfortable position, back straight head and neck held upright and close your eyes.
- Focus your attention on breathing, while inhaling expand your belly and during exhaling contract your belly, visualize all your stress is flowing out while exhaling.
- Your mind may wander away, like hearing sound from outside or certain problems that are bothering you, bring your attention back to the breathing.
Practice daily, start
with 2 or 3 minutes and gradually increase and work up to 15 to 20 minutes,
slow and steady wins.
