How Others Assess and Evaluate Your Personality?

MAGNETIC PERSONALITY

Personality is something that people tend to think, when we meet new people, whether they are nice, helpful, outgoing, or shy are just a few of the things that we assess as we evaluate the people around us.

The word personality came from the Latin word persona, which refers to a theatrical mask worn by performers in order to either project different roles or disguise their identities.

It is our personality that makes us who we are, the way we think, feel and behave.   What are the different dimensions of personality?  Researchers believe that there are five core personality traits.  The five dimensions are openness (open-minded person), conscientiousness (diligent in one’s duty & work), extraversion (an outgoing & social person), agreeableness (cooperative, polite, kind, and friendly person), and neuroticism (inherent quality of an individual to anticipate distressing, threatening, and unsafe situations in life).

Every one of us have an attractive personality inside us, we should identify the dimensions and develop these traits.  An attractive person is charismatic.  Charismatic person is a good communicator, passionate, display compassion and have a positive body language.  An attractive person is friendly and approachable that is, friendly means cares about others and makes them feel comfortable, approachable is people can come to you confidently and talk to you that you will listen to them.

Behavior is the way a person acts or reacts.  Our actions and reactions are controlled by our mood.  Our mood is based on the emotions that control us, which are happiness, anger, sadness, boredom and frustration.   The decisions we make in our daily lives are controlled by our emotions.

Genetic traits inherited from our parent’s plays a major role in determining the personality of an individual.  Our personality traits are shaped not only by inheritance but also by environment.  Our environment includes school, college, home and work.  It also includes experiences from our childhood, surroundings, culture and society.

Parent’s positive relationship with children will lead to a healthy and positive character (mental & moral qualities).  A child’s positive relationship within the family will help them to develop strong positive mental and emotional health.  Society plays a very important role in moulding the personality and emotional state of children.  The behaviour, character and attitude of the others in the society influences the development of the children’s character, behaviour and attitude.

Personality development of an individual is an ongoing interaction of all these dimensions that continue to shape a positive, dynamic and attractive personality.  Asses and evaluate yourself, are you an open-minded person?  Are you diligent in your duty and work?  Are you an outgoing and social person? Are you a cooperative, polite, kind, and friendly person?   Do you have an inherent quality to anticipate distressing, threatening, and unsafe situations in life?
