Lifestyle Disease & Work Place Stress
Our body responds to stress by releasing
adrenalin and cortisol. The release of these hormones will speed the
heart rate, slow down digestion, blood will rush to the major muscle groups,
blood pressure rises and other changes occur to counter the stress
threat. This response to acute stress experience is the fight or flight
response. When the state of stress is relived our body returns to the
normal state, which is relaxation response.

is an ongoing one and it leads to chronic stress. That means our body is
always in a state of fight or flight response. This ongoing state leads
to physical and mental illness. A research study done among the working
age population shows a sharp rise in life style diseases like heart problem and
stroke.
Identifying the cause of lifestyle diseases

and inflammation. Prevent chronic
diseases by changing to healthy lifestyle behaviours and achieve wellness.
