Kerala Feast
The Kerala feast is known as Sadya means banquet. Sadya is a traditional meal served on banana
leaf. A sadya can have 24 to 28 dishes
served as a single course. Following are
the dishes.


The main dish is plain boiled rice.
The side dishes are collectively called Kootan.

Traditionally people sit cross legged on a mat on the floor. Nowadays sadya is served on the table since
