Homemade Dishes - Fried Chicken Curry

Fried Chicken Curry





A chicken curry with difference

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken pieces
  • 3 onions sliced
  • 2-3 stalks of curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp coriander powder
  • ¾ tsp chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp pepper powder
  • 1 ½ tsp garam masala
  • 2-4 green chillies half cut
  • Salt to taste


Preparation

Heat oil (use minimum quantity oil) in a pan and fry onions sliced and curry leaves with little salt and set aside.

Use the balance oil in the pan to temper coriander, chilli, turmeric, pepper powder, garam masala and salt.  Add chicken pieces and little water to the tempered masala mix and cook partially.  Set aside the gravy and remove the chicken pieces.  Fry the chicken pieces and set aside.

Take the fried onions & curry leaves in the wet grinding jar of mixer; add 5 pods of cardamom make a nice paste.


Add the gravy and green chillies into the balance oil in the pan and sauté.    Add fried chicken pieces and the paste to the gravy and cook.  Do not overcook.  Go To RECIPES
