Puliserry
A thick gravy side dish made of curd, coconut, green chillies, garlic,
shallot and spices, good for stomach.
Ingredients
- 2 cups curd
Masala mix
- ½ cup grated coconut
- 2 green chillies
- 2 pods garlic
- 2 stalks curry leaves
Seasonings
- ½ tsp mustard seed
- 1 shallot (chuvanna ulli)
- 2 dried red chillies
- 1 ½ tsp cumin seed powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp fenugreek (uluva)
- Salt as required
- ½ cup water
Preparation
Make a paste of the masala mix items in a blender. To the curd add the masala paste, salt to
taste and water, set it on flame for boiling.
When the mix starts boiling; turn off the flame.
In a pan heat oil/ghee, add mustard seed and wait to crackle. Add rest of the seasonings and temper. Add the tempered seasoning to the masala
