Cabbage Thoran
Thoran is a dry dish made of finely chopped vegetables with grated
coconut and sautéed.
Ingredients
2 cups cabbage (shredded)
Masala mix
- ½ coconut grated
- 2 green chilles (chopped)
- 3-4 shallots (chuvanna ulli) chopped
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ¾ tsp cumin seed powder (jeera)
- Salt to taste
Seasoning
- ½ tsp mustard seed
- 1 stalk curry leaf
In a wide pan blend the shredded cabbage, masala mix and salt, set it
aside.
In the pan heat oil, add the mustard seed and wait till it
crackles. Add the curry leaf and temper
it. Add the cabbage masal mix into the
pan and pat it down. Close the pan and
cook for 8-10 minutes. In between
uncover, stir the mix to make sure cabbage is cooked. Go To KERALA FEAST
