Cucumber (vellarikka) Pachadi
Pachadi is made with fresh vegetables finely chopped with coconut,
spices and curd.
Ingredients
- ½ cucumber (chopped)
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp mustard seed (crushed)
Masala mix
- ½ coconut grated
- 3-4 pods garlic (diced)
- 2-3 shallots (chuvanna ulli) diced
- 1 onion (diced)
- 1 cup curd
- ¾ tsp cumin seed powder (jeera)
- 1tsp ginger (chopped fine)
Seasoning
- ½ tsp mustard seed
- 2 dried red chillies
- 1 stalk curry leaf
Preparation
Add little water and cook the chopped cucumber with salt to taste, till
cucumber turns soft.
Grind the masala mix items into a paste with quarter cup of curd, add
the crushed mustard seed and set it aside.
