Homemade Dishes - Kichadi

Kichadi



A south Indian dish made with bitter gourd/cucumber and curd in raw or cooked.

Ingredients
  • 1 medium bitter gourd (diced)
  • Small ball of tamarind
  • Salt to taste

Masala mix
  • 2-3 green chilli
  • 1 stalk curry leaf
  • ½ coconut grated
  • 1 tsp jeera

Top up
  • 1 cup curd
  • Oil/ghee

Preparation


In a pan cook the bitter gourd with tamarind and salt, wait till water evaporates.   Grind the masala mix into a nice paste and mix with the curd.  Add the curd masala mix to the cooked bitter gourd and top up with the oil/ghee; Kichadi ready to serve.  Go To KERALA FEAST
